BOOST Design @ Home Workshop Online

January 25th - February 25th, 2021

Born Just Right and Make Just Right are excited to announce our new online workshop BOOST design @ Home.

The workshop includes five interactive sessions online. Each weekly session will be paired with a Live Q+A to discuss, share and connect in real time.

Recommended for:  Ages 9 - 14
4th - 8th Grade 

No prior design experience required. Those with design experience are welcomed!

During this workshop, we invite you to design a change to help improve something in your worldsmall, big or anything in between!

BOOST Design @ Home is interactive and project-based!

The series includes foundational concepts in the design process covering topics like: brainstorming, sketching, prototyping, resilience & inclusion.

Learn how to design with and not for others!

You’ll even have a chance to pitch your idea to an expert panel at the end of the workshop.

Through BOOST Design @ Home, we hope you’ll brainstorm, prototype, and implement your very own project.

Join us and together we can help design a better world for everyone!

Requirements: Access to wifi and a computer/device that can access a web browser & Thinkific/Zoom. A parent, legal guardian or responsible adult is required for sign-up.


SESSION ONE: Get Started + Observations

SESSION TWO: Brainstorm + Define Goals

SESSION THREE: Develop Ideas + Prototype

SESSION FOUR: Wild Card + Social Justice 

SESSION FIVE: Evaluate + Communicate + Pitch!

COST: Free plus a small materials fee. Thanks to generous donations to Born Just Right, BOOST design @ home can be offered for free!

There is a required $20 materials fee for the BOOST Box with companion materials for the course. Each participant will receive their BOOST Box by mail. BOOST Boxes will ship in early January 2021.

Registration closes on January 11th. Space is limited and open to U.S. residents only.
